Working as a full-time General Ledger Accountant, you will enjoy the opportunity of leading and performing a variety of accounting duties for Fastenal’s European locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Preparing and analyzing financial reporting for various European locations;
• Managing statutory audits and compliance reporting activities;
• Performing and monitoring general ledger reconciliations;
• Managing and processing monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities of the general ledger;
• Coordinating and participating in development projects – planning, testing, and implementation;
• Developing and training others to achieve goals and to optimize business results;
• Performing special projects and analysis as required;
• Other administrative tasks as necessary.
The skills and qualifications for this position include:
• Possess a degree in Accounting and have at least two years of relevant work experience;
• Proficient using Microsoft Office;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Exhibit strong problem solving and decision making skills;
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities;
• Possess strong attention to detail;
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented;
• Ability to work in a high volume fast-paced environment, both independently and as a team;
