ROLE DESCRIPTION:
VET&PET Territory Manager is responsible for providing a direct interface with veterinary professionals at the practice level to ensure the highest levels of veterinary endorsement for company’s’ Pet Nutrition and its brands, as well with specialist pet retail operators at store level to ensure the highest levels of specialist endorsement, visibility and assortment for company´s Pet Nutrition and its brands. Activities also include communication with the technical superiority, practical application and commercial benefits of company’s products, resulting in increased distribution, recommendation and sales in veterinary practices in the assigned region. VET&PET Territory Manager is expected to be responsible for optimal coverage of the territory both in current and potential customers (within distribution guidelines).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain high standards of knowledge in small animal nutrition and company’s business initiatives through training, self-study and market evaluation.
- Represent company’s Pet Nutrition as the strategic partner of choice in small animal nutrition to specified veterinary customers, through regular practice visits, meetings and seminars.
- Develop regular contact with all Health Care Team members: clinic manager, vets partners, vets employees, vet nurses, receptionists.
- Deliver information on company’s products and services through excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills. – Deliver professional sales support (seminars, meetings, and merchandising) to specified practices as necessary to enable achievement by practice of agreed objectives.
- Implement prescribed Customer Development and marketing activities for the company.
- In co-operation with the line manager, develop sales plans, implementing these to achieve the objectives and targets set for the Pet Channel.
- Monitor the achievement of specified accounts objectives and develop, prepare and implement plans for remedial action where necessary.
- Represent company´s Pet Nutrition as the strategic partner of choice in super premium nutrition to specified specialist pet retail customers, through regular store visits, meetings and educational programs.
- Implement prescribed sales and marketing activities for the company, to ensure achievement of volume and share objectives, rapid acceptance, endorsement and distribution of new products, increased distribution on existing product lines, establishment of shelf space in line with objectives and as directed by line manager, establishment of merchandising best practice.
- In partnership with Key Account Manager, implement annual business development plans for specified veterinary clinics and specialist pet retail, which realise both the needs of customers and company’s overall commercial objectives.
- Monitor the achievement of specified accounts objectives and develop, prepare and implement plans for remedial action where necessary.
- Represent company at meetings/conferences e.g. Training days, Congress, Local and National meetings, client meetings and Practice Open Days, Trade Shows, Store Open Days, etc.).
- Keep abreast of trends in the veterinary profession and of competitive activity and report on new activity to center.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree is required, degree in Veterinary Medicine is an advantage.
- Previous sales experience in veterinary industry, pharmaceutical company or Nutrition Company, and/or experience in field sales, preferably in a FMCG company or nutrition company.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn company specific tools & programs.
- Fluency in Czech and proficient communication in English is essential.
- Full and valid driver’s license is required.
- Flexibility with expected percentage of travel: up to 90 %
