An OPERATIONS MANAGER is a senior role which involves overseeing the Transportation Operations Analysts team. Your main responsibility is to make sure the team is running as well as it possibly can, with a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of customers.
Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day activities of Transportation Operations Analyst Team – training and supervising new employees and tracking and measuring staff performance
- To report and analyze data – using advanced computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and Data-warehouse analysis
- Develop and understand performance metrics to assist with driving business results
- Be involved in innovation and implementation of new processes
- Communicate with all involved stakeholders (Carriers and internal customers, Fulfillment Centers, Finance, Planning, etc.)
- Systematically escalate problems to the relevant owners and teams
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in management role is a MUST – strong inter-personal and relationship-building skills
- Working experience in operations/supply chain/logistics/e-commerce is an advantage
- Fluent in English and another European language
- Proficiency in Excel – ability to prepare, report and interpret large sets of data
- Strong problem solving state of mind – have proactive attitude so that you don´t get lost within everything that´s going on around you
- Responsibility for own work, self-motivation, flexibility and enthusiasm
