on behalf of our client, a supplier of ingredients for the food and non-food industry, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist/manager to join their dynamic team in Prague. This is a role for a problem-solver who enjoys building relationships and managing the end-to-end logistics process.
what you will do
- mastermind the entire journey of our products via road, sea, and rail. You'll be in charge from start to finish—finding carriers, ordering transport, and communicating at every step.
- identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with freight forwarders and warehouses to secure the best conditions and plan shipping volumes.
- organize and lead competitive tenders between carriers to optimize cost and service quality.
- expertly prepare all transport and customs documentation, cooperating closely with customs brokers to guarantee seamless import/export procedures.
- proactively manage and process any transportation-related claims, ensuring swift resolutions.
- diligently check and control invoices and documentation from all logistics partners.
- prepare statistics and analyze logistics data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- actively participate in inventory counts and checks.
who we are looking for
- at least one year of hands-on experience in logistics, with a good understanding of customs, import, and export procedures.
- university degree in Logistics, International Trade, or a similar field is a strong advantaget
- fluency in Ukrainian/Russian is essential. You should also have intermediate proficiency in both Czech and English.
- you must have a legal right to reside and work in the Czech Republic (e.g., permanent residence, valid work visa, or Temporary Protection).
- proficient in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- you are an excellent communicator, highly responsible, and efficient. You remain calm and focused under pressure and can manage multiple priorities with ease.
