Main purpose of the job:

• Definition and validation of the manufacturing process.

Scope of the job:

• Core member in PCP of ECS. Preferably based near product engineering (Brandýs nad Labem, Lummen, Ypsilanti, Brasil) with regular travel to the plants concerned in projects.

Responsible for process definition:

• Conduct feasibility (Design for Manufacturing) study from quotation onward
• Deliver flowcharts, cycle time study, conduct VSM
• Propose SMART performance targets for OEE, scrap, SMED, …
• Deliver initial layout and manning, standardized work and times
• Initiate and update PFMEA
• Deliver machine and tooling list
• Provide all this inputs to CD&V
• Manage tooling RAACI’s with plants
• Define prototype tool concept definition
• Contribute to PFEP with packaging sheets
• Provide production BOM
• Responsible for process validation till handover to plant

Position in the organization:

The Division Process Engineer reports to the Division Manufacturing Engineering Manager, who reports to the Group Quality and Manufacturing Excellence Director

Skills:

• Master in Engineering science/Industrial Engineer
• Working knowledge of metal forming and joining
• Welding engineering is an advantage
• Good knowledge of plan reading, tolerance studies, datum system

Experience:

• 8 years of experience of relevant experience in the automotive industry or comparable
