Provide technical support on all main process equipment in our CAN Plants throughout Europe, AMEA and Asia Pacific. This is through the refurbishment and assembly of components and equipment in the Wellness Centre, which will then be installed in our CAN plants as part of major equipment overhauls. Support plants on urgent repairs, overhauls and problem solving when required. Generate and distribute best practise guidelines in order to achieve productivity gains and standardisation of process equipment. Prepare and train out maintenance procedures to personnel to gain the required level of knowledge on our processes. Support projects through installation, commissioning and start-up support of process equipment to ensure projects deliver production efficiencies and spoilage. Generate reports and records on the refurbishment of equipment in the Wellness Centre and in Plants when on-site.

• Unload, inspect and prepare machinery and sub-assemblies on arrival at Wellness Centre
• Repair and rebuild of mechanical equipment and sub-assemblies according to manufacturer’s drawings and documentation
• Travel to CAN Plants to replace and repair equipment and sub-assemblies.
• Work flexible hours when needed to support breakdowns and overhauls including any portion of a 24-hour day 7 days.
• Provide specialised technical support in the CAN Plants by guiding teams on improvements or problem solving on process equipment. Generate technical reports.
• Project support with the install, commission and support start-up of new equipment. Working with suppliers, preparing mechanical assemblies within the Wellness Centre or in a Plant to ensure execution of the project within time and cost.
• Generate and provide technical materials and training for process equipment to assist in the development of technical skills and knowledge on new and existing equipment.
• Ensure drawings and records are up to date and filed in accordance with policies.
• Provide standardisation of process equipment through the generation and distribution of ‘best practises’.
• Keep up to date on ‘best practises’ from other Regions and establish suitability for our Regions process equipment.
• Carry out process equipment audits to ensure equipment is within specification. Generate reports and recommendations and highlight actions for any out-of-specification items.
• Work with suppliers and OEM’s to keep up dated on latest developments and improvements that can be implemented to reduce maintenance time and improve equipment life.
• Keep your own skills up-to-date and work with Engineering Supervisor to ensure adequate training on tools and techniques.
• Ensure your work area and equipment is clean and organised within the Wellness Centre or in Plants to avoid accidents and contamination.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures, and participate in Company programs for Environment, Health and Safety to meet legal and internal requirements.

• Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification 
• 3+ years as Maintenance Technician, Toolroom engineer or mechanical fitter in a manufacturing environment
• Good communication skills
• MSOffice skills.
• Use hand tools to fit bearings, and align gears, pulleys and belts to manufacturers drawings.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Precision measuring (micrometers, calipers, slip gauges, etc.)
• Good knowledge of English
