Printing Process Engineer

We are currently looking for a Printing Process Engineer.

This role is responsible for the design, development and industrialization of processes, products and technologies, maximizing business value and customer satisfaction for existing or new products.

The role is part of the Corporate Engineering Department of Secure Document , which is developing products and processes, ensuring the smooth ramp-up in volume of new products and components. More precisely, the role will be part of the printing expertise team which is focusing on transferring a design from the design department to a printed product.

Within the supervision of the direct team manager, the Printing Process Engineer will be responsible for the following missions:

• Support new customer pr oducts introduction in production
  • Participate in design review , milestone ensuring graphical design can be processed in production
  • Support design file preparation for printing , including the validation of printing layout and step & repeat when needed
  • Follow the printing and check all technical criteria are correct
• Support new projects related to printing (2nd source qualification, new printed feature, new technology evaluation, new layout)…
• Consolidate all tests and results under formal reports to be shared with stakeholders

The Printing Process Engineer will be in close contact with the production team , in particular with printing and prepress workshops, with the Corporate Engineering group, and with the Graphical Design team.

The position is entitled to travel to visit the factory in the Netherlands (close to Amsterdam) and some suppliers. Few days every 2nd month to plan.

Main tasks:

• Develop and industrialize simple products under direct supervision
• Prepares and maintains required documentation
• Advise internal customers on projects

To succeed in this position, you will need the following skills:

• Professional education ( degree in engineering preferred)
• At least 2 years of experience in an industrial environment ( product industrialization & manufacturing processes preferred)
• Project management skills
• Experience with CAD, DTP, Pre-press, Press, Post-press, JS welcomed
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
