DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
Development of the data warehouse
Proposing architecture of the new modules
Design of the ETL processes
Developing and amending stored Oracle procedures/functions/transformations
Writing Oracle PL/SQL and SQL code to implement business logic
Participation in phases of data warehouse development lifecycle
Gathering the requirement by collaborating with business unit liaisons to understand and develop business and functional requirements
Performs technical analyses for development of new features
Testing, implementation and support
Performance tuning of the data warehouse
Monitoring database performance and tuning SQL queries in a cooperation with DB administrators
Identifying and resolving scalability and data quality issues
Ad-hoc analysis and data extractions
Maintains the knowledge base and follows documentation process rules
REQUIREMENTS
Technical skills – must have
Ability to write software code in database environments:
Oracle Database
PL/SQL proven knowledge is essential
Data warehousing and ETL principles
Experience with RDBMS performance tuning, partitioning and indexing strategies, materialized views management
ETL knowledge
Deep understanding of Data warehousing ETL principles
Experience of work with huge volumes of data
Expertise in ETL processes design and implementation, data lifecycle management
Technical skills – desirable
Experience of working on large projects / large and complex systems.
Oracle DBA experience Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure technologies
Hadoop and Big Data experience
Experience with IBM Cognos BI or other business intelligence tools
Experience with Data Science (Predictive Analytics, Machine learning, R)
Knowledge of Agile and iterative methodologies like SCRUM, KANBAN
Experience of work with Source code control (CVS, SVN, TFS)
Experience with any ETL tool
Education
At least 5 years of experience in IT
At least 3 years of experience working with Oracle Database
English written, spoken level B1
