As AP Team Leader you will oversee the Accounts Payable team, ensuring efficient processing of invoices and payments aligned with ABS KPIs. The role involves managing escalations, fostering a collaborative environment, and working with Regional Process Leads to harmonize AP processes.
what you will do
- review and approve high-value or complex invoices.
- handle exceptions for non-matched invoices.
- act as an escalation point for vendor management and resolve complex issues.
- monitor compliance with the no-PO-no-pay program.
- oversee the end-to-end payment process, ensuring timely and compliant payments.
- support and approve manual payment requests and bank transfers.
- monitor reverse factoring and review advance payments for compliance.
- approve vendor management activities and monitor vendor master data evolution.
- execute month-end/year-end close processes and maintain financial controls.
- collaborate with auditors and Tax to ensure compliance and implement improvements.
- identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices.
- supervise the AP team, assigning tasks, setting goals, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.
who we are looking for
- a bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
- at least 1 year of experience in managing a team.
- minimum 3 years of experience working in a shared services environment.
- proven experience working in regional teams within a matrix organization.
- proficiency in English at a professional business level, along with fluency in the relevant European language for the supported market.
- strong IT and Excel skills; prior experience with SAP or similar systems is a plus.
- familiarity with finance systems such as Ariba, Blackline, Concur, or others is desirable.
