So here’s the profile of our dream Market/Contracts Manager:

• Strong commercial awareness with previous contracting, sales, business development and/or revenue management experience – preferably within tourism and, even better, hotel contracting experience
• Working knowledge of hotel distribution including revenue management
• Proven analytical skills and strategic thinking – this truly is a must
• Excellent negotiation skills – a go getter who is determined!
• Experience working in a multi-cultural organisation and working with people with a variety of cultures
• In tune with the distribution landscape including shifts in preferred hotel distribution channels and industry technology (i.e. Pegasus, XML etc)
• Be able to develop solution options, resource options and delivery plans
• European language skills – this would be ideal, but it’s not a deal breaker
• A clear history of career progression – be it with one employer or a handful
