Senior Category Buyer - Construction Procurement

Are you an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in construction sourcing and strategic category management? Join Global Real Estate a Facility Procurement team and help shape the future of construction procurement.  

In this role, you will drive sourcing strategies, lead complex negotiations, and create sustainable value by building strong supplier partnerships and innovative procurement solutions across international projects. 

Popis pozice:

• Develop and implement a global strategy for the Construction category in line with business objectives, project timelines, market dynamics, and risk considerations
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier selection, processes, and complex commercial and contractual negotiations
• Manage the entire procurement process from start to finish, including demand management, sourcing, contract execution, and supplier performance evaluation.
• Identify and implement sustainable cost savings, business benefits, and long-term improvements
• Conduct market analysis, cost modeling, and total cost of ownership assessments to support procurement decisions
• Implement a procurement management system and ensure process compliance
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders from real estate, facilities management, and procurement to align project scope, budget, timelines, and risks
• Support the digital transformation of procurement through automation, AI-powered solutions, and data-driven decisions

Profil kandidáta:

• Fluency in German and English
• Strong expertise in construction procurement, including supplier markets, contracting models, and cost drivers
• 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in a global or international environment
• Proven experience leading high-stakes negotiations and complex procurement projects
• A college degree (preferably in civil engineering, architecture, business administration, procurement, or a related field) or equivalent professional experience
• Experience with digital procurement tools, automation, or procurement solutions utilizing artificial intelligence is a plus
• Strong skills in stakeholder relationship management and communication
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
