Customer Project Buyer

About the Role

As a Customer Project Buyer within the Customer Focus Team (CFT), you support customer projects throughout the product lifecycle, from quotation and industrialization to serial production. Acting as the procurement interface between suppliers and HANZA's operations, you ensure material availability, cost competitiveness, and supplier performance to support successful project execution.

Working closely with Customer Focus Managers, Project Engineers, Customer Support Officers, Planning, Production, and Quality, you coordinate material-related activities and contribute to long-term customer satisfaction.

• Support customer projects from RFQ through industrialization and serial production.
• Support quotation activities by obtaining supplier quotations and evaluating material costs, lead times, and supply risks.
• Source electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical components from approved suppliers.
• Ensure material availability in line with customer demand, project milestones, and production requirements.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and proactively manage shortages, delays, and supply chain risks.
• Coordinate material-related activities between suppliers and internal functions including Engineering, Planning, Production, Quality, and Logistics.
• Cooperate closely with HANZA Global Sourcing regarding supplier selection, sourcing strategies, supplier allocation, commercial agreements, pricing, and material cost optimization to ensure competitive sourcing solutions for customer projects.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), production ramp-ups, engineering changes, and product transfers.
• Maintain purchasing master data, supplier information, and procurement parameters within ERP systems.
• Manage supplier communication regarding forecasts, demand changes, delivery schedules, and corrective actions.
• Support inventory optimization, cost improvement initiatives, and working capital targets.
• Participate in supplier evaluations and contribute to supplier development activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement, material availability, and supply chain performance.
• Ensure compliance with HANZA purchasing processes and approved supplier requirements.

• Education in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Experience in purchasing, materials management, supply chain, or a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing (EMS) is an advantage.
• Good understanding of procurement, inventory management, planning, and supply chain processes.
• Commercial mindset with strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style.
• Strong communication and coordination skills in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in Czech and English; German is an advantage.
