Responsibilities

At “this Company” they have more than 10 years of experience with steelconstructions.This guarantees the know-how, quality and an all-round flexible service. Due to the big amount of projects, this company is looking for new, motivated and above all experienced people.

Fitter of steelconstruction/ industrial complexes:

All works need to be fulfilled on sites (mostly in Limburg, Flemish-Brabant and Antwerp. Sites further away from home are however also possible).

Employees need to report daily at the main office of “Ivo Gijbels’. From here on they will drive to the different construction sites!

• All employees need to read technical plans correctly!
• Load/unload all parts (profiles/pillars/beams/etc.) with the help from a crane or manual (depending from the elements). Employees need to work with a forklift/ telehandler (not with a crane!). Afterwards they will need to get their driving licence for these machines.
• Ling out construction site with the help of technical plans and coördinate from an architect/workleader.
• Put in place metal/steel construction profiles.
• Assemble all parts (metal stability pillars/profiles) and anchor them in concrete foundations. Assembly happens manually (using screws and bolts)
• Building walls and roofs (Steelplates and concrete elements. Sometimes half-fabrikations, partly steel, partly concrete/bricks)
• Adapt metal elements/parts (using welding methods Electrode/ Mig Mag).

NOTE: At “this company” they are looking for multifunctional employees, who are prepared/experienced in fulfilling other task known to construction works: bricklaying, sewer works, putty, masking, tile works, fitting doors, concrete works,…

ATTENTION: Employees may not have fear of heights! Assemble works need to be fulfilled high above the ground, within the steel constructions.

Qualifications

Communicative English or German

Necessary experience

• Experience in fitting metal construction works
• Experience in welding
• Ability to use forklift/ telehandler

Education

• Technical education metal works

Specific competences

A VCA-attest is obligatory!
One can get this certificate in Belgium, shortly after starting work.
Afterwards the employees need to get a certificate to drive with a forklift/telehandler.

Exceptional agreements
The company expects a visual presentation of our candidates (skype or actual pictures)!

Candidates must be the owners of good references!

All vacations/holidays must be reported and discussed with our client min. 1 month in advance! This while we are dealing with an independent group!

All employees must posses their own cars! In this manner we will avoid the risk that some employees can not get to work, while one of them is on holiday.

ATTENTION: employees are paid from the moment they arrive at the construction site (So not from the moment they arrive at the main office, neither during the transport to the sites!)

Overtime is possible.
Work during Weekends is possible from time to time.

Vacations/holiday must be discussed/reported to our client min 1 month in advance!!!
