JOB DUTIES:
As a sales assistant, participants will be re-stocking, working the cash desk at the check out, assisting customers with merchandise as well as helping with questions or problems. They will also be straightening the store and cleaning the store during quiet hours or before or after the store is open. Additional duties include setting up displays, arranging merchandise and stamping or tagging pricing on merchandise. Sales clerks may also need to keep a record of sales, prepare inventory of stock, or order merchandise. Participants must be familiar with U.S. currency and understand how to make change. They must also be friendly and courteous to customers, and have excellent customer service skills.
Hours: Employer is looking for participants to work a full 40 hour work week. Overtime will be available if participants would like to work additional hours. Any and all hours worked after 40 will be considered overtime at 1.5 x the normal pay. Hours can be combined between our stores, so it doesn't matter which store they work at each week.

UNIFORM: The participants working at The Shirt Company will receive a shirt to wear as a part of their uniform. There are no dress code requirements for the other two stores.
HOUSING:
Employer does NOT provide housing.

Stillwater:
Stillwater is referred to as the „Birthplace of Minnesota“ established in 1848. Located along the St. Croix River, Stillwater was also home to many steamboats which were used until about 1890 as a major means of transportation. Stillwater still has colorful steamboats for tourists to enjoy. Historic downtown still boasts many shops, boutiques, restaurants, historic hotels, parks and festivals. It is also a great place for a variety of outdoor activities including hiking and skiing.
Stillwater is located near the Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota area. The „Twin City“ area is home to the famous Mall of America, with its more than 520 stores and 4.2 million square feet of space complete with an indoor amusement park. Minneapolis is also home to several sports teams including the Minnesota Twins (Baseball), Minnesota Vikings (Football), and the Minnesota Wild (Hockey). The downtown area is a great place to visit for a vibrant art scene or to eat at a great restaurant. With more than 10,000 state lakes, 22 regional trails and 330 metro area parks, there are also a lot of great outdoor options as well.

ARRIVAL info:
Fly to Minneapolis, MN (MSP). Employer CANNOT guarantee airport pick up for participants. However, if participants share with the employer their arrival information prior to arriving it is possible that the employer can provide pick up. If the employer is unavailable to pick participants up they can take a transportation service called Super Shuttle – https://reservations.supershuttle.com/, directly from the airport to the employer. Please note that reservations need to be made prior to arrival. There are different transportation options with this service, and the cost ranges from $70 – $119. Be sure to book the transportation option that best meets your preference and budget. If participants do not wish to use the Super Shuttle service, they can also use public transportation to get from the airport to the employer. In this case, they will have to take 2 public buses. First, at the airport participants will need to go to the Airport Transit Plaza & Gate #4. From there they will need to take bus 54 EASTBOUND towards St. Paul. The cost for this bus will be $1.75-$2.25. Participants will need to get off at bus stop 5th & Minnesota St. to take the second bus. Next, once participants are at 5th & Minnesota St. they will need to take the 294 Express bus heading EASTBOUND towards Stillwater. The cost for this bus will be $2.25-$3.00. Participants will need to get off at Myrtle St. & Union St, then walk less then a block to the store.
Participants will need to go to the store to meet the employer. From there the employer can assist participants with transportation to their housing.
