The family are looking for an au pair who can stay for a year, who has reasonable English, who enjoys being with children, and very importantly is a non smoker. The family have had au pairs in the past. They are looking for 35 hours help per week and there are lots of language schools that they can recommend nearby. They would prefer someone who is a confident swimmer. Start September 1st. (HU#51)

We are a fun, creative, musical and book-loving family based in rural Norfolk! We love cooking, reading, music, museums and the beach! We are looking for a happy go-lucky, creative au-pair to become part of our busy family life, enjoying a gorgeous country lifestyle in one of the most beautiful areas of England. Saul is a composer of music for film and television and I, Lavinia am a stay at home Mummy. I also write books and am studying for my MA in English. Our two children are Ruben, 4, and Joni, who is 2! They go to nursery 3 times a week from 9–3pm on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Both Saul and I work from home (Sauls music studio is in the house) so the role would involve supporting us to look after Ruben and Joni, run errands and think of fun ways to entertain the children! We have cleaners twice a week so there will be minimal housework, mainly tidying up after the children and other light housework to keep our home lovely. You would also enjoy every weekend off. I am very happy to help you with your English studies – My B.A was in English Literature and Language from Oxford University. We are looking for an au pair for a family living in a village near Bury St. Edmunds and close to Cambridge (about 20 minutes by car). There are 4 children but only 2 are at home all of the time and they are 6 and 13 years old, there are 2 older boys who are 16 and 17 and they are away a lot of the time. The family have 2 dogs who love being walked! Both parents work full time. There are lots of excellent language schools in Bury St.Edmunds. Duties will include making sure that the youngest is ready for school and cycling with her to school and back again each day, walking the dogs, helping with cleaning and tidying the house and also helping with food preparation for the family. The family enjoy being outside and are an active and busy family, they enjoy skiing and riding. They do not need anyone who can drive.
