July is the busiest month of the season, therefore more hours are available at that time. After the beginning of September, the business shortens its business hours due to a decrease in customers.

JOB DUTIES:

Being a Park Attendant requires multiple job functions. Customer service is necessary for all aspects of the job. Participants must have great English skills to be able to interact with clients. Cashiers will handle money.
As a ride attendant, participants will be responsible for making sure guests are happy on the ride and that they feel safe. Job duties include operating rides, assisting guests with seating, giving safety instructions to the guests, and answering any questions. Participants must be able to hear and communicate emergencies from guests and be a fast problem solvers, if any problems arise. Additional duties will include maintaining the cleanliness of the park, sweeping and removing trash, as well as other duties assigned by the supervisor. Participants must be able to stand for long periods of time and may be in direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
Cleaning any part of the park in many capacities. Participants may also have to clean bathrooms and toilets and use cleaning chemicals.

JOB BENEFITS:

UNIFORM: Uniform required – $15-$21 ; Uniform shirt provided upon arrival, participants bring their
own black colored shorts/pants and belt. Belt does not have to be black. Participants must wear sneakers or tennis shoes, no flip-flops or slide shoes allowed!.

HOUSING:

The employer does NOT provide housing. The typical monthly range that an individual pays for housing in the area is $250– $300/Month

locations. Participants will need to call ahead and make a reservation.

The Ark - http://www.thearkpcb.org/ They provide clean, safe, and interactive housing for J1 Visa
students travelling from all over the world. This is communal living. Participants share bedrooms with
other people. Housing is split in male and female buildings. Living room, kitchen, bathrooms, are all shared by other people staying at the Ark. There is a Cafe and laundry facility on site. Previous participants have lived here in the past.

the white sandy beaches of northwest Florida. Beach goers come to Panama City Beach to relax on its clean, white, sandy beaches, and to participate in every imaginable water sport including scuba diving

Panama City Beach is a popular vacation destination, especially among people in the Southern United States. The city is also a very popular spring break destination due to the 100,000 plus college and high school students who arrive during the months of March and April. Beaches and beach activities are the main attractions as well as the following: Man in the Sea Museum, Florida State University, Gulf Coast Community College and Frank Brown Park. Pier Park is home to shopping, dining and entertainment. St. Andrews State Recreation Area is one of the most popular outdoor recreation spots in Florida with
hiking, camping, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and boating. Panama City Beach also has the following attractions: Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum, ZooWorld, Shipwreck Island Water Park, and miniature golf courses.

The distance between a participant’s housing and work varies, but it is not uncommon to live a minimum of 3 miles from the work place. The principal biking and walking routes in Panama City Beach are on high-traffic roads (Hutchison Blvd and Front Beach Rd), but both streets have bike paths and
sidewalks (some dirt and some concrete). As a general rule, participants must exercise caution and should only walk or bike where sidewalks and bike lanes are available.
