Job description: As a housekeeper, participants are responsible for cleaning (washing, dusting and vacuuming, tidying) private houses. Job duties include picking up, washing linens (doing laundry), making beds, dusting furniture and fixtures, washing floors/mopping, vacuuming carpeted areas, emptying trash cans, cleaning windows and cleaning bathrooms and toilets. Housekeepers will be using cleaning chemicals. Participants' main position is a housekeeping, but they may be working as dishwashers as well. A dishwasher's primary duties include scraping, racking and stacking glassware/plateware/silverware properly in the dishwasher and washing pots, dishes, etc. by using hand or dish equipment. Dishwashers then restock all ware when clean. Additional duties include removing garbage and recyclable materials from the kitchen area to appropriate receptacles as well as sweeping and mopping. Dishwashers are responsible for maintaining a clean workstation, assisting kitchen staff when required and assisting in overall kitchen cleanliness. Dishwashers will come into contact with cleaning chemicals, and wear rubber gloves. This job requires standing for most of the shift so employees should be in good physical condition to stand for long periods of time. Comfortable, rubber soled shoes are required. For housing purposes, the employer is hiring all males.
Uniform: Participant's uniform is all black. Participants must provide their own black pants and closed toed shoes. Employer will provide a Rainbow Ranch polo shirt and sweatshirt, at no cost.
Job benefit: The employer provides discounted meals: breakfast and dinner on days employees work. There is a kitchen available in the employee housing for other meal preparation. On-site housing, local activities

Housing: is onsite. Depending on availability during the respective season, housing will be either a dormitory with bunk beds or a cabin with separate rooms, but may contain bunk beds. The dorm is with full bath, TV, air conditioning, and a limited kitchenette. A full sized cabin is with 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a full kitchen, deck with grill & hot tub and a large living room. At this time, housing will be assigned by the employer; however preferences will be taken case by case. The dorm may fit 4 – 6 participants and the cabin may fit 4 – 8 participants depending on the size of the room and availability. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are located in all housing. All housing is furnished with furniture and linens. Please be aware, Rainbow Ranch Lodge is a smoke free property except for in designated smoking areas.
Additional info: Big Sky is a small Rocky Mountain tourist town located in southern Montana. It is the largest skiing area in the USA. It is a getaway to Yellowstone National Park and a small and friendly community that attracts many tourists year round. Participants must bring clothing that is appropriate for the season. Participants should bring a long sleeved, black, button down shirt for special occasions at the Ranch.
