JOB DUTIES:
- To understand all standards of room/suite cleanliness
- Maintaining shelf organization in the storerooms
- Replenishing storeroom supplies
- Removing trash and dirty linens from rooms/suites
- Sweeping and vacuuming floors
- Reporting maintenance problems or completing work repair orders
- Spot cleaning walls, carpets, light fixtures, etc.
- expected to clean check-out rooms in 30 mins and stay-over rooms in 20 mins
Wage: $9.00/per hour, overtime wage $13.50/per hour, average 32–40 hours/week, 5 days/week
Uniforms are provided. Employees must bring closedtoe comfortable shoes or sneakers.
Housing: Housing is secured for a period of time that matches each participant's
program dates. There will be two participants per room. Each participant
is responsible for full payment of the lease duration. Apartments will be
furnished. However, furnishings are basic and may be different, and so
may be the kitchen equipment and utensils. More housing details will be
emailed to participants 14–30 days prior to their arrival.
Rent is charged on a weekly basis at $98 per week.
The week goes from Monday at noon to the following Monday at noon.
Any partial weeks, will be billed at $98.
- For example: if you move in on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 and move
out on Sunday, June 12, 2016, you will pay for 14 weeks of rent at $98
for a total of $1372.00
Utilities: All included up to $150 per month per unit. Over $150 you will have to pay.
Transportation: Housing is within 5 miles. You can use bus (20 mins) to and from work. Monthly bus pass costs $49 or $2.00 each way.
Harrisburg is the capital of the State of Pennsylvania. It is a small city
bordered by the Appalachian Mountains to the north, and the
Susquehanna River to the east. It offers many music and theater
festivals throughout the year and is home to many museums, art
galleries, public parks and sports teams. Downtown Harrisburg has a
variety of entertainment venues, restaurants and shopping choices.
Local bus service is available to local shopping malls, ice skating,
bowling and other leisure venues. Harrisburg’s location is ideal for day
trips. Hershey, Gettysburg, Lancaster, and York are all within 20 to 60
minutes. Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York and Washington D.C. are
only 90 minutes to 3 hours away. Hershey is about 20 minutes from
Harrisburg. It is a tourist destination during the summer—Hersheypark
has many rides, roller coasters, live entertainment, themed
restaurants and ZooAmerica. The free chocolate-making ride at
Chocolate World is an interesting experience.
