Job description:
As a housekeeper, participants are responsible for cleaning (washing, dusting and vacuuming, tidying) guest rooms and property common areas. Job duties include picking up after a guest, preparing fresh linens (doing laundry), making beds, dusting furniture and fixtures, washing floors, vacuuming carpeted areas, emptying trash cans, cleaning windows (usually less frequently), cleaning the bathroom and toilet and keeping the guest rooms stocked with accessories and the bathrooms stocked with supplies. Participants are responsible for keeping cleaning carts and closets stocked with supplies daily. Housekeepers will be using cleaning chemicals. To accommodate housing assignments, employer will hire only 2 males and 2 females or participants of all the same gender. If the employer hires 2 males and 2 females, then male participants will share a room and female participants will share a separate room.
Uniform: Employer will provide Uniform at no cost to participants. Participants will need to supply own closed-toed, nonslip shoes.

Housing: Housing consists of shared apartments located on the hotel premises. There are 2 one bedroom apartments, 2 participants per apartment, assigned by gender. Apartments are furnished simply, have an open kitchen and living room, and share a bathroom. Each apartment is assigned to a specific gender: there is 1 male-only apartment and 1 female-only apartment.

BUS: Participants who arrive into Boston must take a taxi or public transportation from the Boston Airport to the South Station Transit Center. Participants who fly into NYC should take a taxi to the appropriate bus station listed when ticket is purchased.
Bus ticket from Boston and NYC to White River Jct can range in cost from $25-$55 (one-way ticket). Participants will be picked up at the bus or train station in White River Jct, but these arrangements must be made in advance with employer (802–295–7600) and email travel details before departing for the United States.
TRAIN: Participants who arrive into Boston must take a taxi from the Boston Airport to the South Station Transit Center. Estimated cost will be $10-$20 for taxi. Participants must board the Amtrak train from BOS to White River Junction, VT. Train tickets will range from $40-$60 (one-way ticket).
Participants who arrive into NYC must take a taxi from the airport to Penn station. Estimated cost will be $15-$50 for taxi. Participants must board the Amtrak train from NYC to White River Junction, VT. Train tickets will range from $60-$90 (one-way ticket).

White River Junction is a village within the town of Hartford, VT, and is the Waypoint community for the towns of Hartland and Norwich, VT, and Lebanon, Hanover, and Plainfield, NH. Its Waypoint Interpretive Center is located in an historic train station in downtown White River Junction, and also serves as a Vermont Welcome Center.
Nearby activities include sightseeing (Rivers, Mountains, Quechee State Park, etc.). White River Junction is close to busy tourist cities like Woodstock, VT and Hanover, NH. The town is also near Dartmouth College. A movie theater, good restaurants, and plenty of outdoor activities are nearby. Since we are a tourist destination, participants will have many opportunities to interact with Americans both at work and on their days off. This is a great place to experience the culture of the American east coast, away from the busy city life.
There is no Public Transportation in the area. Two local taxi services are Big Yellow Taxi (802–281–8294) and P and P Twin State Taxi (802–295–7878). In addition, the employer takes participants regularly to the closest town, approximately 5 miles away. These shopping trips are regular and often combine efforts with other employers to take participants to local cultural events in Woodstock, VT.
