Private platinum country club in Portland, OR. The Club is proud of its history and through its members and staff maintains its position in the industry by demonstrating, and enhancing, it’s past values and traditions. Our philosophy is excellence in everything we do. We nurture our staff and ensure the most positive work environment.
Positions and duties:
Bartender – $16 per hour …responsibly serve and prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and provide superior member service while maintaining a clean and neat bar area.
Ala Carte Server – $14 per hour …take food and beverage orders, knowledge of all menu items including preparation.
Banquet Server – $12 per hour …take food and beverage orders, knowledge of all menu items including preparation, setting up and breaking down of all banquet rooms and areas
Server Assistant - $12 per hour …efficiently assisting the server according to the service needs of all members and guests
Food Runner – $12 per hour …to run food from the kitchen to the appropriate member’s table.
Expediter – $12 per hour …to ensure that all kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and according to menu and customer expectations.
Host – $12 per hour …greet members and seat them to tables
You can expect minimum 32 hours per week. When applying please choose one position you prefer, you might be offered different position after skype interview based on your skills and attitude.

Advanced English. Hospitality, restaurant experience required! Prefferably 2nd timers. We would appreciate people that have some type of background in hospitality so we aren’t starting from scratch with the training.
Active interest in work and interest in improving your skills constantly. Positive and friendly attitude. Willing to work in a team environment. Commitment to recognize and acknowledge members by name.
After accepting job offer you will need to obtain online Oregon food handlers card and OLCC – online tests about food safety and serving alcohol in USA.

Housing: J1 students will get tips from employer for apartment complexes near the club, where students can look into renting and what fits them best. Rent here is anywhere from $1300-$1800 for two and three bedroom apartments.

Transportation from the airport to the club upon arrival and back to the airport upon completion of the program is arranged. Bicycles for students to transport to and from the club, also very good transportation system in Portland.
