JOB DUTIES:
- Start and complete transactions with customers. This includes the greeting, suggestive selling, product preparation, order coordination, cash transaction and table service.
- Make all products in food line according to product preparation procedures.
- Perform cleaning duties to include all areas of restaurant: Front counter, food preparation area, storeroom, seating area, dishes and utensils, dumpster area, trash receptacles, walk-in freezer and cooler, parking lot, and restrooms (includes cleaning toilets). Participants will handle cleaning chemicals.
- Implement a general working knowledge of pizza equipment and other related machines and to operate the equipment properly in the food preparation areas.
- Stock supplies as needed and work as a team member to assure constant and consistent customer satisfaction.
- Most employees will either concentrate in front of house or back of house positions, based on the needs of the restaurant.
JOB BENEFITS:
Meals provided (Charged $3.00 per day worked to have one meal and unlimited beverages at the restaurant while the participant is working.)
UNIFORM: Uniform shirts and hat or visor will be provided. Participants must have or obtain black pants and non slip shoes. Available at Wal-Mart.
HOUSING: There are 3 different houses:
- The single bedroom „A“ frame: A small mountain style home with one bed room upstairs that is like a loft, and a living room, kitchen and bath downstairs.
- Three Bedroom manufactured home: A „trailer“; there are lots of them in Cherokee. It is pre-manufactured and brought to site ranch style home with 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and 2 bath.
- The main home: A two story home built with 6 dorm style bedrooms and „common shared“ baths. Depending on the number of males vs. females, employer will try to put all of the same sex on either the first or second floor. Kitchen facilities, bathrooms, and „common living areas“ are in all houses. There are separate laundry facilities, TV & Internet in the common area of the main house. Bedrooms sleep 2 to 6 people per room in bunk bed or twin bed configurations.
Price: $10 USD/per day including Furniture, Kitchenware, Microwave, Linens, Telephone, Wifi, AC/Heat, Computer. $70 USD deposit required upon arrival.
TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORK:
Employer has a van to transport employees or else they must take public transportation (± 2 miles), 15 minutes, Free (van) to $4.00 (transportation)

CHEROKEE:
Cherokee is an area located in the Oconaluftee River Valley in the state of North Carolina and is the headquarters for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. The region has few residents but many tourists during the summer months. The job positions are at restaurants located on the Cherokee Indian Reservation. It is located in the Great Smokey Mountains which is a busy tourist area during the summer months and during the fall due to the beautiful leaves changing.
Cherokee offers many outdoor activities such as camping, tubing, rafting, hiking, biking, birding and fishing (trout fishing is particularly popular in the area). The landscape is very scenic with many waterfalls and watermills and access to Great Smokey Mountain National Park. The area also has a pioneer village, cultural and historical sites, cultural festivals, golfing and the famous Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and Hotel. Other area attractions include Biltmore Estates, Chattanooga and the Georgia Aquarium (participants would have to take a bus).
