Job description: There are various positions within each location. A participant's abilities and skills will be assessed by their manager and they will be assigned a position based on their skills. All positions must maintain clean work environment at all times. Kitchen: Food preparation. Ability to slice vegetables and make sandwiches as instructed. Grill and deep fry food. Dining Room: Clean tables and wash trays. Keep condiment area clean and stocked. Sweep and mop floors. Empty trash. Clean windows and doors. Front Line: Interact with customers. Take orders and offer assistance. Will be working in a busy environment and high volume kitchen. Kitchen environment is often hot and muggy. All positions are required to clean dining room, wash dishes, clean kitchen equipment and maintain overall cleanliness as requested. Employer is willing to work with each participant individually, however, excellent customer service skills and previous cooking experience a plus. Participants are required/mandatory to work to the last day of contract. Starting rate is $8.25 per hour with the opportunity for pay increase to $8.50 per hour based on a job performance evaluation after 4 weeks of employment.
Uniform: Company shirt, shorts/pants and hat are required and are provided by the employer. Employees need to have a closed, soft sole shoe (sneakers). See attached Grooming Guidelines. Participants must be on time for shift and in full, proper uniform when entering and exiting Gate 7.
Job benefit: Transportation costs for International Students will be $49 per month for bus pass. At the end of each Student’s contact, these costs will be reimbursed if: The Student fulfills their employment contract; including working on their last day of the contract. Has no disciplinary action on their employment record. Cafeteria meals available for purchase for as low as $2.50-$3.00.

Housing: Housing is secured for a period of time that matches each participant's program dates. There will be two participants per room. Each participant is responsible for full payment of the lease duration. Apartments will be furnished. However, furnishings are basic and may be different, and so may be kitchen equipment and utensils. More housing details will be emailed to participants 14–30 days prior to their arrival. Rent is charged on a weekly basis at $98 per week.
The week goes from Monday at noon to the following Monday at noon. Any partial weeks, will be billed at $98. For example: if a participant moves in on Wednesday May 11, 2016 and moves out on Saturday, August 21, 2016, they will pay for 15 weeks of rent at $98 for a total of $1,470.00
$300 housing security deposit and $294 for three weeks rent are due upon arrival/check in (a total of $594). Participants will not be allowed to move in without making a full housing payment. Balance of rent will be paid by voluntary payroll deduction. Security deposit will be refunded to participants no later than 30 days after they vacate the housing unit. Refunds can be placed in participant's bank account in the U.S. or sent via a check to the address they provide to I-2. $50 administrative fee will be deducted from the security deposit. Unpaid rent, cost for damage or items missing from the housing unit will also be deducted from the security deposit. All utilities are included in rent up to a maximum of $150.00 per month per apartment. Any utility costs above $150 per month are the responsibility of the participant. Harrisburg is the capital of the State of Pennsylvania. It is a small city bordered by the Appalachian Mountains to the north, and the Susquehanna River to the east. It offers many music and theater festivals throughout the year and is home to many museums, art galleries, public parks and sports teams. Downtown Harrisburg has a variety of entertainment venues, restaurants and shopping choices. Local bus service is available to local shopping malls, ice skating, bowling and other leisure venues. Harrisburg’s location is ideal for day trips. Hershey, Gettysburg, Lancaster, and York are all within 20 to 60 minutes. Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York and Washington D.C. are only 90 minutes to 3 hours away. Hershey is about 20 minutes from Harrisburg. It is a tourist destination during the summer—Hersheypark has many rides, roller coasters, live entertainment, themed restaurants and ZooAmerica. The free chocolate-making ride at
Chocolate World is an interesting experience.
